In early September 2023, Environmental Forestry UK Ltd embarked on its annual RISQS audit. The RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) audit is a process that assesses and evaluates suppliers within the railway industry to ensure that we meet specific standards and requirements for safety, quality, and compliance. 

Our audit duration was 4 days, and covered the following modules:

• CORE
• Sentinel
• SWP
• CDM
• PC Licence

The addition of the PC Licence module was new for this year, having only been released by RISQS in January 2023. 

During the audit, RISQS auditors closely examine all areas of the company including Safety Management, Quality Management, Compliance with Legal and Industry Standards, Insurance & Liability, Sustainability, Competency & Capability, Document Control, Monitoring, Emergency Response Planning, Business Practises, and Continuous Improvement. 

A significant amount of work goes into maintaining and upholding the requirements of RISQS each year, and this was once again reflected in the brilliant audit outcome of 0 observations, 0 nonconformities.
